A comprehensive inspection takes place before the start of each new rental period. UniQ Housing refers to this as the home check. Usually, this check is performed in the presence of the tenant. The condition of the house and furniture will be checked during the home check. Defects or damages will be identified, and necessary repairs will be assessed. This ensures that both the tenant and the landlord are protected from disputes.

Clear reporting

The home check inspection results in a detailed report on the condition of walls, ceilings, floors, locks, and hinges. Any defects such as leaks, mold, faulty equipment, or other damages will also be recorded. Relevant matters are photographed and, if necessary, provided with comments and recommendations.

A (pre)check is also performed when a tenant has given notice. This type of check is Intended to 'scan' the house and indicate the tenant’s responsibilities regarding repairs, overdue maintenance, and cleaning. At the time of departure and handing over of the keys, an extensive, final check follows. Both the landlord and tenant should sign the generated digital report. This report offers both parties legal protection and evidence if so required.
